Agape Youth Camp
If you talk to an Agape Youth camper (or volunteer) they will probably tell you it is the best four days of the year. Camp is a jam packed, outrageously fun experience where kids get to break out of their shell and learn about the hope and healing they can receive through Jesus Christ. Our camps have operated for over eight years and are specifically designed for kids who are impacted by incarceration. Cabin Leaders are screened, trained, and prepared to support a child who is experiencing trauma due to the family member’s incarceration, and/or other factors.
We offer two different styles of camp based on the age of the camper, Adventure Camp and Breakaway Camp. We hope you will trust us with your loved one for the duration of camp, below are some testimonials from other parents about their camp experience.

What is Adventure Camp?
Adventure Camp is the Agape Youth Camp open to kids ages 7-12. Our younger campers will get a once-in-a-lifetime experience at some of the most beautiful camp spots around and learn the importance of hope, healing, and friendship. Adventure Camps are three night, four day camps where kids will get to experience all the traditional elements of camp such as crafts, swimming, and campfire. At night, campers will hear an encouraging message about what the Bible teaches us about hope. Campers will get to spend their four days with a cabin of friends and three cabin leaders who will support and encourage them throughout camp. Adventure Camp has a 1:1 camper to volunteer ratio and campers will see adults caring for them from turning out the lights at night, to serving their meal, to cleaning up their cabin during the day. Adventure Camp is a summer highlight for most campers.
What is Breakaway Camp?
Breakaway Camp is the Agape Youth Camp open to incoming 8th graders and older. Our older kids camp is designed specifically for their age group and works to instill helpful life lessons about friendship, kindness, and hope. Today, our kids have to fight hard against cultural and peer pressure to just “make it out alive”, let alone feel ready for a life of success. The Breakaway Camp helps break down barriers that today’s youth create between each other and teaches them Biblical principles to deal with the pressures in their life. This weekend getaway happens in early June, launching into Breakaway specific follow up programs like the Internship program and Connection Events.
