How are we handling the COVID-19 crisis?

For families:

Agape Families is continuing to closely monitor the situation around COVID-19 and we are committed to keeping you as informed as possible. We do not have plans to cancel any Agape Youth Camp as guidelines and restrictions for the summer have not been set or communicated yet. Our plan is to follow the state's guidelines for safe social contact and distancing and will adhere to whatever safety measures are put into place. It is our hope and prayer that camp is able to happen as usual and we are able to gather with your children safely this summer.

As of April 15, 2020, all camper registrations are paused until further notice. If your camper has already registered and you have received a confirmation email, their spot is secure in the hopes that we are able to hold camp. If your camper has not been registered and you did not receive a confirmation email, they currently do not have a spot at the 2020 camp. Any camper from now forward that registers will be added to our waitlist and will be accepted into camp as spots become available. Families on the waitlist will be emailed as soon as updates are available. This is being done in an effort to recruit enough volunteers to care for campers that have already registered. Thank you for your understanding, please reach out to us at agapeyouthoregon@gmail.com if you have any questions.

For volunteers:

We do not have plans to cancel any Agape Youth Camp as guidelines and restrictions for the summer have not been set or communicated yet. Our plan is to follow the state's guidelines for safe social contact and distancing and will adhere to whatever safety measures are put into place. It is our hope and prayer that camp is able to happen as usual and we are able to serve with you all this summer.

One of the challenges we are facing during this season is to secure enough volunteers to care for our campers. We understand that as volunteers you often take time off work or schedule vacations to accommodate your days at camp. As jobs, income, and future plans are uncertain for so many, we are seeing that effect on volunteer registrations and the ability to serve at camp. Because of this, we are limiting camper spots to those who have already registered to ensure that we are able to meet the current need and not accept more campers that we may not have the volunteer support for. Campers who sign up from now forward will be added to the waitlist and will be able to attend camp as more volunteers register. For those of you who feel fairly confident that you will be able to serve at camp in the hopes that we are able to hold camp, please consider signing up today to help us get a better understanding of how many campers will be able to accept this summer. Our biggest volunteer need at camp is Cabin Leaders. Thank you for your understanding, please reach out to us at agapeyouthoregon@gmail.com if you have any questions.
