Programs
If you are looking to get more involved with Agape Families, then look no further. We offer various programs for kids and parents to help support them through the impact of incarceration. Check out the various opportunities below.
Mentorship
The Agape Youth Mentorship Program is a one-on-one relationship for kids to be paired with a caring adult friend. Mentors are trained and screened adults who are excited to meet with kids for an hour a week and encourage them in their day to day lives, while also showing them what it looks like to have positive role models and help them achieve success in their life. The Agape Youth Mentorship Program hosts monthly Youth Nights for mentors, mentees, and those students who are on the wait list for a mentor. Youth Nights are a fun and relational evening for kids to continue building healthy relationship with adults and peers. Sign up for the mentorship program below.
Encourage
Hearts are broken when a loved one has fallen and is sent away to prison. Wives, mothers, and grandmothers cope with deep, personal loss while continuing to raise children and keep the bills paid. A twice monthly group called Encourage was formed by Agape Families volunteers to provide a place of healing and support for these women. Jesus is at the center of these gatherings as the source of hope and strength for the difficult journey ahead.

Inside Out Class
In late 2018, Agape Families launched an InsideOut Dad® program at the Oregon State Penitentiary in Salem. Led by dedicated volunteers, this class connects inmate fathers to their families, helping them to improve behavior while still incarcerated. This program seeks to break the cycle of recidivism by developing pro-fathering attitudes, knowledge, and skills, along with strategies to prepare fathers for release. Incarcerated fathers get the tools they need to become more involved, responsible, and committed in the lives of their children – providing increased motivation for them to get out and stay out. For more information on the Inside Out Class or ways to be involved, send us a contact form.
